Allied Glass Containers: investments from CBPE Capital

Allied Glass Containers, the leading manufacturer of premium glass bottles and containers for the food and drink market, is to receive investments from CBPE Capital, which has a strong track record of investing in the industrials sector, such as BWA Water Additives and Minova International.

CBPE Capital has announced that it is investing in Allied Glass Containers, the leading manufacturer of premium glass bottles and containers for the food and drink market.
Allied specializes in short, flexible production runs with a focus on serving premium markets, particularly within the spirits industry. The business also undertakes design and prototyping work to help customers with their product redesigns and new product launches.
Allied has a consistent track record of growth over the last decade. The business has benefitted from a requirement for increasingly sophisticated packaging, together with strong international demand for products such as Scotch whisky, which is within the portfolio of premium spirits Allied supplies.
Allied and its management team have been known to CBPE since 2002 when it backed the original buyout of the business from ABF plc. The current team, led by Alan Henderson, will also be re-investing in the business.
The investment was co-led for CBPE by Mathew Hutchinson and Iain Slater. CBPE has a strong track record of investing in the industrials sector, with previous investments including BWA Water Additives and Minova International. Current investments in the industrials sector include Warwick Chemicals, a leading manufacturer of speciality chemicals.
