28 May 1998: Jeanne Mordarski, 29, a former advanced optics sales engineer at Corning Incorporated, has joined LightPath Technologies, Inc. of America as Sales Manager, LightPath announced recently. “Ms. Mordarski will help LightPath quickly introduce GRADIUM-glass based photonic products designed to improve fiber optic equipment for telecommunication companies,” said Donald E. Lawson, LightPath President and Chief Executive Officer. Meanwhile, the company has reported financial results for the quarter and the nine-month period ended 31 March 1998. For the quarter, the company reported total operating revenues of US$ 123,963, which includes product sales revenues of US$ 113,963 that compare to product sales revenues of US$ 74,959 in the comparable quarter of the prior year, an increase of 52%. LightPath, developer and manufacturer of patented GRADIUM(R) glass products for industry, telecommunications, data communications and other photonic applications, said net loss for the quarter was US$ 899,666, compared with a net loss of US$ 651,105 for the previous year“s comparable quarter. For the nine-month period the company reported a net loss of US$ 2.7 million on revenues of US$ 496,166 compared to a net loss of US$ 2.3 million on revenues of US$ 532,593 in the comparable nine-month period of the previous year.
