At the 35th China Glass Exhibition, NorthGlass showcased a special piece of glass: the same type of specially shaped multi-curved tempered glass used at OPPO’s global headquarters in Shenzhen.
Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, the super headquarters features an extremely complex curtain wall system. NorthGlass supplied approximately 70,000 square metres of oversized, specially shaped multi-curved tempered glass for the project, with precision and processing requirements that are exceptionally stringent. Its complexity and accuracy are considered the pinnacle of the industry.
At the exhibition, visitors observed the imaging effect of this 3D multi-curved glass up close. The curved surface is smooth, reflections remain straight and there is no visual distortion. Behind this lies NorthGlass’s self-developed gapless convection system and precision temperature control technology.
