NSG Group is thrilled to announce that the group’s automotive glass plant in Aken, Germany, has unveiled its brand-new photovoltaic system, marking a major step towards sustainable energy. At the Aken plant, NSG manufactures windscreens, back-lights and roof glass made of laminated safety glass.
The plant is now generating renewable solar energy by utilizing solar to power operations and to further contribute to the site’s climate-neutral production.
Excess energy generated by the system at weekends and during shut-downs is being fed into the public grid.
