The Saudi National Glass Industries Company (Zoujaj) posted a net profit of SAR 38.8 million (USD 10.3 million/EUR 8.2 million) for the first nine months of 2004, up from SAR 23.6 million (USD 6.3 million/EUR 5.0 million) for the same period of 2003, it was reported. The rise came on the back of a SAR 12.5 million (USD 3.3 million/EUR 2.6 million) increase in sales to SAR 60.6 million (USD 16.2 million/EUR 12.8 million) in the first nine months of 2004. Administrative and marketing expenses fell 19% year-on-year over the period. Zoujaj reported a 25% year-on-year increase in net profit to SAR 28.9 million (USD 7.7 million/EUR 6.1 million) for 2003.
