6 November 1997: Vitrablok Duchcov, the only producer of glass blocks in the Czech Republic, expects to report turnover of Kc 400 million this year, a Kc 30 million improvement on 1996 and twice as much as in 1992, Vitrablok“s director Miroslav Beran recently told journalists. 15% of Vitrablok“s annual output of 10-12 million blocks goes to the domestic market, while 40% is exported to Belgium, France and Germany, and 25% to Eastern Europe. Most of the remaining 20% of production goes to Brazil. Vitrablok is a 100% subsidiary of Glavunion Teplice, which in turn is fully owned by the Belgian firm Glaverbel.
