Vidrala, the Spanish glass container manufacturer, expects EBITDA to fall between 1 and 2% in 2006 due to the extraordinary costs associated with the acquisition in 2005 of a bottle production plant in Corsico, northern Italy. The Spanish group“s costs rose by 6% as a result of the increases in energy and transport prices. Vidrala generated a profit of EUR 27 million in 2005, up 30%. However, there is no expectation of double-digit profits in 2006.
