UK Trade & Investment sponsored a week-long series of Glass Collaboration Workshops at Dudley College“s International Glass Centre (IGC) at Brierley Hill in the West Midlands. It was aimed at enhancing the creativity of established artists, give them new ideas for work to sell abroad, and encourage them to look at new markets. Tutors Mark Angus and Bill Gudenrath worked with twenty-one glass artists on the course. The IGC is a centre of excellence that caters to students from all over the world, offering a practical approach to furnace working, cold glass, stained glass and hot glassblowing.
