Tyrolit presents its high-tech tools for the glass industry at glasstec 2018

HYLAS is Tyrolit’s new concept of grinding on double edge machines

Tyrolit will be at glasstec with a series of new products such as HYLAS, a new concept of grinding on double edge machines for furniture, architectural and technical glass.

International manufacturer of abrasives, Tyrolit, is once again exhibiting at glasstec 2018, one of the world’s leading exhibitions for flat and technical glass, taking place in Düsseldorf 23-26 October 2018. At Booth A42 in Hall 16, Tyrolit will be present with a new and attractive appearance and will be pleased to present its numerous innovative products for the glass industry to visiting trade professionals.
Among the tools that Tyrolit is presenting, HYLAS is the company’s new concept of grinding on double edge machines for furniture, architectural and technical glass. The most significant benefits are: fast startup, high speed, excellent quality finishing as well as extreme flexibility of use. HYLAS enables the same wheel to be installed on different double edging machines thanks to the simple use of suitable adaptors. HYLAS does not need any reprofiling.
As for the flat glass industry, Tyrolit has released STARFLEX, an innovative universal set of metal and resin grinding cups for flat edge processing on double edging machines. STARFLEX grinds a wide range of glasses, from 3mm mirror glass to thick glass. STARFLEX universal set of tools for flat edge processing of float and laminated glass or even laminated glass using always the same sequence of tools.
This new set combined with the cerium wheel specifically developed by Tyrolit professionals can obtain the highest and nowadays achievable processing speed and quality standards
