A new glass factory in Turkmenistan will provide 800 jobs

A new glass factory built in Turkmenistan is getting ready for commissioning, and will produce both building glass as well as a variety of transparent and coloured bottles.

Preparing for commissioning of a new glass combine in the village of Ovadendape Akhal velayat. The project of the construction of the innovative enterprise “Türkmen aýna önümleri” was set up as part of the implementation of the state program on import substitution.
The facility, which was built in partnership with the Turkish company Tepe Türkmen Insaat ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi, is aimed at the annual production of 7 million 200 thousand square meters of various types of building glass and a variety of transparent and coloured bottles.
The industrial complex consists of several production workshops, which will create more than 800 workplaces. In order to train highly qualified specialists in the field of glass production, Turkmen specialists are trained in Russia, Germany, Italy and Austria.
