TuffX Processed Glass is among the finalists for this year’s G11 Awards, a nomination that comes just days after the company was awarded best SME Company in the Knowsley Business Awards.
UK specialist glass manufacturer, TuffX Processed Glass, has been nominated as a finalist for this year’s G11 awards which will take place at the Park Lane Hilton, London in November. This nomination comes just days after TuffX was awarded best SME Company in the Knowsley Business Awards.
Producing high performance products that offer exceptional value and benefits such as the Ambience range have firmly established the company as a market leader. The company also produces high quality toughened safety glass products to both the domestic and commercial sectors nationally. TuffX has seen considerable growth over the last few years and is firmly established in the North West as a progressive, customer-oriented business.
Manufacturing from the purpose built factory on the outskirts of Knowsley, Merseyside, the company is well recognized for providing some of the most advanced products on the market today. The new premises have also been valuable to the local community, during 2010/11 the workforce has doubled, which combined with the continued investment helps supplier partners. The company’s national fleet of vehicles, which includes 7.5 & 13 tonne wagons, has more than doubled to a modern fleet of 14. Investment in a secondary distribution ‘hub’ in Milton Keynes not only helps customers, but also creates further employment opportunities.
TuffX has, also during the very challenging economic climate over recent years, maintained a firm commitment to development and innovation, resulting in a dramatic increase in top line sales performance for TuffX. In fact, the underlying operating profit also allows the management team to reinvest in product, marketing and process development.
Steve Halford, sales director comments, “Clearly the high standards associated with the entire range have been recognized and are reflected through this nomination.”
