Treforest Glass relocates to larger premises with Welsh Government support.
The glazing manufactuer currently employs more than 40 people and its relocation will create 10 news jobs and safeguard 15. The move to a site in Tonyrefail affords more space than the company’s current base on Pontypridd’s Upper Boat Business Park. The investment of £1.3m, including £80,000 from the Welsh Government’s Growth & Prosperity Fund, allows the purchase and fit of the premises and new equipment.
Owen Smith, Labour MP for Pontypridd, said, “This is great news for a superb local company and its employees. This comes just days after the Welsh Government’s announcement of new jobs for Pontypridd and reconfirms Welsh Labour’s commitment to improving our local economy.”
