Tamglass Insulating Glass Ltd. and Tamglass Safety Glass Ltd., part of Kyro“s main business area Glaston Technologies, have now completed employee negotiations related to the merger of the companies“ operations in summer 2006 . The talks begun on 5 June 2006 concerned administrative staff. As a result of the negotiations, the companies“ administrative personnel will be reduced by five. Behind the arrangement is the need to boost both companies“ production by reducing fixed costs and improving the productivity of personnel, production units and machinery. Tamglass Safety Glass and Tamglass Insulating Glass share synergies, which will be realized through the merger of production and administration. After the reductions, some 160 people will work in Kyro“s Glass Processing Group companies Tamglass Insulating Glass, Tamglass Safety Glass and Tamglass Finton.
