In a recent press release, the retailer said total sales for the five weeks ended April 1 rose 0.1% to US$ 60.75 million from US$ 60.67 million a year ago. For the nine weeks ended on 1 April, the company said its same-store sales rose 1.8%, while total sales rose 0.2% to US$ 101.2 million from US$ 101 million a year earlier. The company said strong results from its combo stores and Australian operations led its performance. Sales slowed at the end of the month because of the Easter shift, but the company said it expects that will benefit April sales.
