Czech Republic television tube and monitor glass producer STV Glass Valasske Mezirici expects year 2000 sales in the region of Kc 1.25 billion, a Kc 385 million improvement on 1999 figures. Exports accounted for around 95% of total sales. Output at the company, which is fully owned by German technical glass group Schott, increased from 5 million units in 1999 to 7.9 million units in 2000. Major customers include European operating units of Philips Group and LGE, as well as Czech firm Ecimex Group.
