Austrian-based software development company SOFTSOLUTION, has released SpotStop+, which, the company says, removes any defects which have been found and classified as removable by the LineScanner, based on defect coordinates. SpotStop+ automatically cleans and polishes water drops, fingerprints, dust and other cleanable defects on the glass surface, thus simplifying production work flow, since cleaning and re-control of defects is a fully automatic process. The 3D scanning process of SpotStop+ supports the identification of the surface side and optimizes the cleaning process, since e.g. dust is only cleaned if it is on the inside of the IG unit, not on the outside. Moreover, the tricky cleaning process on the back side of the glass can be carried out without manual interference. The entire cleaning process is fully archived.
