Turkish flat and container glass manufacturer Sisecam plans to invest about USD 12 million in a new glassware workshop at the Nizhny Novgorod Region-based Bor glass plant by September 2004, the plant“s General Director Alexander Granek said 24 March 2004. The launch of the new workshop is expected to increase the plant“s capacity by 50% to 54 million units annually and significantly increase its product line, he said. The construction of the workshop is expected to start in May 2004. In September 2003, Belgian flat glass producer Glaverbel sold its stake in the plant to Sisecam.
