Shenzhen SEG Samsung Glass Co Ltd said it expects to register a net loss not exceeding CNY 30 million for the quarter ended 31 March 2006 compared with a profit of CNY 74.91 million a year earlier, due to strong competition and the rising cost of raw materials and energy. The company said prices of its products had been cut because of stiff competition on the CRT display market while prices of raw materials and energy have been increasing.
