Mumbai based Sejal Float Glass Limited is setting up a manufacturing plant in Gujarat based on technology from Germany, France and Italy. The plant will commence manufacturing of glass and mirrors by the end of 2007. The total project cost will be INR 5 billion, and, as a part financing of the project, the company plans to enter the capital market with an IPO by mid-2006. Sejal Architectural Glass Limited, a flagship company of the Sejal Group, manufactures insulating, toughened, safety glass and decorative glass at its Silvassa plant, where it has recently undertaken a INR 250 million expansion due for completion by March 2006. The plant expansion will mean a growth in manufacturing capacity at the plant from 1,500 square meters per day at present to 4,500 square meters per day. According to Amrut Gada, CMD of Sejal Group, whose other interests include finance, insurance and import-export of building materials, the turnover of the group will be INR 1 billion for the current financial year and will reach INR 10 billion by the year 2010.
