sedak is expanding production capacity in the field of glass bending. The company’s existing tempering furnace has been upgraded with a bending unit. In the future it will be also possible to thermally bend glass at the Gersthofen location with a C-bender (heath-strengthened glass and fully tempered glass).
Thanks to the expansion of the bending competence, it will be possible to bend formats as large as 3.6 metres by 18matres. Depending on the glass width, a minimum radius of 1,000millimetres can be achieved.
With the help of this new technology, previous bending defects such as straight ends can also be remedied.
