Saint-Gobain Glass India exhibited a range of solar glass solutions at the exhibition for renewable energy, Direc 2010 (Delhi International Renewable Energy Conference). The solutions offered by the company include high performance glass for photovoltaics, CIGS photovoltaic panels, solar mirrors for CSP technologies and solar systems. ““For Saint-Gobain, India is one of the most important markets to consider for investments in solar, because of its knowledge and skill sets as well as Saint-Gobain“s strong manufacturing capabilities,““ said Fabrice Didier, CEO, Saint-Gobain Solar. Saint-Gobain Glass India Ltd., which has a manufacturing base in Sriperumbudur and an upcoming facility at Bhiwadi, started operations in 2000 with the commissioning of its first float glass plant. Today, it is a market leader in the flat glass industry with a market share of 38%.
