Saint-Gobain Containers in Dunkirk, Indiana was presented with Certified Status by brewer Anheuser-Busch on 23 May 2007. The designation, which is the highest quality rating given to suppliers of Anheuser-Busch, will be awarded during a special ceremony at the manufacturing facility in Dunkirk. To achieve Certified Status, Saint-Gobain had to attain high marks in leadership, employee involvement, education and training, customer feedback and communication, continuous improvement and other business qualities. The Dunkirk plant, one of two Saint-Gobain Container facilities that have received Certified Status, is now only the third glass-supply facility to achieve the award. The first was the Saint-Gobain Container plant in Waxahachie, Texas. The Saint-Gobain Containers Dunkirk facility employs about 400 people in the manufacture of glass containers for customers mainly throughout the Midwestern United States.
