The Russian-Turkish joint venture Rusdzham has started building the third line at its glass factory in the town of Gorokhovets, Vladimir region. Vera Shamota, the head of the region“s foreign economic relations department said that the USD 22 million line should enter service in spring 2004. Its rated production capacity is 350 million bottles per year. The two existing lines at the plant have an aggregate capacity of 600 million bottles a year. Overall investment in these first two lines was USD 48 million. The wholly-foreign-owned Rusdzham was registered in 2001. The company is part of the Turkish glassmaker Sisecam. Rusdzham was founded by Amsterdam-registered Anodolu Cam Investment, and is part of Turkey“s Anodolu Cam Sanayll, itself part of Sisecam.
