Redesigned systron pro: Lower costs, faster processing, top quality

Modern glass processing demands efficiency, precision, and low operating costs. The new systron pro Edge Processing Centre combines cutting-edge technology with reduced investment and maintenance. It integrates seaming, grinding and polishing in one step at speeds of up to 20 metres per minute—ideal for rectangular and free-form glass.

Compact design & easy integration
Redesigned with a single Y-axis and high-pressure pneumatic system, the machine offers a smaller footprint and significantly reduced investment costs. “The systron pro helps our customers stay competitive by lowering costs while boosting performance,” said Managing Director Franz Schachner.

First installation at Arbonia
In December 2024, Arbonia Glassysteme in Deggendorf, Germany, installed the first new systron pro. “After two proHD machines, this was a logical next step. Installation was smooth, and we’re already seeing benefits,” said Technical Operations Manager Matthias Baumgartner.

User-friendly and maintenance-optimized
With “Easy Mode,” rectangular glass can be processed fully automatically—just one click selects a predefined recipe, while glass size is detected automatically. “Even less experienced users can operate it reliably,” said Andreas Gruber, Head of Product Development. A future upgrade will add Helix drilling for holes from 6 to 30 millimetres—combining edge processing and drilling in one unit.

All key components like tool changer, motors, and guides are located in a protected dry zone for minimal maintenance. “Only machines that are easy to maintain are maintained regularly,” added Head of Sales Thomas Haan.

Flexible and highly automated
Two tool-changing systems accommodate up to 120 tools. An integrated measuring and sharpening system ensures minimal downtime. Robotic or sorting system integration allows for up to 90 percent autonomous operation.

Precision for complex shapes
The stable mono-block X-axis enables vibration-free, high-speed processing—even for complex geometries. A patented water cushion protects Low-E coatings from damage by preventing mechanical contact.

Conclusion
The new systron pro combines precision, automation, and ease of maintenance in a compact design. With lower investment costs, high flexibility and fast processing, it offers outstanding value for modern glass production.
