The UK“s RAC Auto Windscreens has signed a three-year contract as the preferred provider of specialist glazing services to GAP Group Ltd, the UK“s largest independent plant and tool hirer. The 404-strong GAP fleet includes light commercial and heavy goods vehicles. RAC Auto Windscreens, which is owned by insurance and financial services provider Norwich Union, has its own glass processing facility at Chesterfield in Derbyshire. As part of the contract, GAP Group Ltd has its own dedicated free phone glass line direct to the RAC Auto Windscreens“ Specialist Glazing department call control centre, whose personnel have extensive knowledge of plant equipment. Ken Stewart, procurement manager GAP Group Ltd, said: “RAC Auto Windscreens is a true national player who can offer consistency in terms of pricing, quality and service. This, and the fact that there is a good geographic fit between GAP depots and RAC fitting centres, is why we chose RAC Auto Windscreens to be GAP“s automotive glazing repair and replacement provider”.
