Increased production potential, expanded assortment, available glass sizes and regular development of tools supporting the election of glazing – those are examples of innovations by PRESS GLASS that are aimed at enhancing the competitive advantages of customers.
The company has adapted its production lines to be able to manufacture e.g. glazed units with toughened, laminated glass or with digital print in dimensions up to 7000 x 3200 mm. The company has also introduced mobile innovations supporting the selection of glass and ensuring fast and simple insight to detailed parameters and access to CE declarations for the supplied products.
Larger glass dimensions offered by Press Glass is a response to trends in construction and growing popularity of larger glazing without partitions.
“Practically each type of production line at our facility in Radomsko has been adapted to the new standards. All the efforts were made to manufacture glass with dimensions as large as 7000 x 3200 mm. Now designers increasingly frequently provide to the application of large glazed spaces, not disturbed with any partitions”, says Gerard Plaze from the promotion department at PRESS GLASS.
We keep expanding the catalogue of products offered by the company. For instance, in the segment of acoustic sound units, the number of products was increased to almost 80 – within only the last year or so the offer was expanded by over 20 types. The offer of solar control glass is a portfolio composed of products from all the largest producers of flat glass. This supports objective technical consulting services.
PRESS GLASS MOBILE – innovative facilities
For many years, PRESS GLASS has attached great importance to the level of customer service. This is manifested e.g. in developing new tools supporting the selection and configuration of glass. This is the role of PRESS GLASS MOBILE – a free application for mobile devices (iOS and Android systems).
“PRESS GLASS MOBILE provides for interesting possibilities. For example, for acoustic sound units and solar control glass, the configurators support the selection of an appropriate type of glass or a comparison with other glass. To this end, it is necessary to select a strictly specified set of parameters so that only those types of glass are displayed that fit the user’s expectations. About 250 products may be compared among solar control glass. The tools can be used not only with the application but also via our web site”, adds Gerard Plaze.
The configurator can be used for a precise selection of e.g. acoustic sound units, considering a number of most important parameters – e.g. the weighted thermal index Rw and correction indices C and Ctr. From the practical viewpoint, it is equally important to precisely determine the weight as well as protection and safety class and to reduce the packet thickness and glass thickness in the packet. The configurator supports the selection of glass types in terms of e.g. values of the thermal index Rw as well as all other indices and options jointly. The other configurators operate in a similar manner.
In PRESS GLASS MOBILE the users will find three configurators (for acoustic sound units, solar control glass and digital print glass) and a browser of CE property declarations (in line with the numbers of printed orders).
Apart from implementing practical innovations and offer extension, PRESS GLASS is committed to continuous development of its manufacturing resources. In 2015 the company completed the expansion of its core facility in Radomsko – this is the largest and most modern glass processing centre in Europe. Several months ago, a new facility was opened in Varaždin, Croatia.
