PPG will have on show its fiberglass product range at the China International Composites Industrial Technical Expo at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center from today until Friday 9 September.
PPG Industries’ fiberglass business is on show as of today until 9 September at the 17th China International Composites Industrial Technical Expo at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center.<br>PPG will feature products such as its newest long-fiber thermoplastic (LFT) single-end roving and Hybon® 2026 direct draw fiberglass for wind energy and other plastics reinforcement applications. The company will also display high-strength fiberglass reinforced plastics manufactured by its customers, while an area of the booth will be set up for presentations on market forecasts and technical information.<br>Gerry Marino, PPG global director of transportation and consumer markets for fiberglass, will, at PPG’s booth and during the expo’s technical seminar, address current and emerging uses of fiberglass reinforced plastics in the automotive industry, and the implications for glass fiber in this field, in “Automotive Industry Market and Technology Related to Glass Fiber-Reinforced Composites.”<br>Carrie Guo, technical manager for fiberglass at the PPG China Technology Center in Suzhou, will discuss the equipment and methodology PPG uses in its fiberglass application lab in China to help customers evaluate raw materials, improve product performance and streamline production in “PPG Fiber Glass Science and Technology Innovation to Develop Competitive Products.”<br>PPG Fiber Glass is a global manufacturer of reinforcement materials for thermoset and thermoplastic composite applications serving the transportation, energy, infrastructure and consumer markets, as well as electronic circuit board and specialty yarn markets.
