16 April 1998: The French group Poliglas, subsidiary of the leading Spanish producer of construction materials, Uralita, is to build a new FFr 300 million glass wool production plant at Sarrable, Moselle, France. The 20,000 tonnes/y initial capacity is to be doubled by 2003, and two further plants are to be built for expanded polystyrene and extruded polystyrene. As a result of the project, 130 new jobs are expected to be created.
