UK-based Pilkington Plc. has been awarded a contract valued at HK$ 160 million (around UK 13.5 million) to supply 81,000 sq. m. of glass for the new airport being built at Chek Lap Kok in Hong Kong.

UK-based Pilkington Plc. has been awarded a contract valued at HK$ 160 million (around UK 13.5 million) to supply 81,000 sq. m. of glass for the new airport being built at Chek Lap Kok in Hong Kong. The UK firm said the order is believed to be the world“s largest single contract for architectural glass and will be supplied by its German subsidiary, Flachglas AG. A 1,000 sq. m. structural glazing curtain walling system will also be supplied by Pilkington Architectural in the UK. The order will be supplied over the first 10 months of 1996.
