Tableware producer Pasabahce Cam, part of Turkish glassware and chemicals group Sisecam, will build a second plan in Russia in 2006, Gulsum Azeri from Sisecam said on 20 December 2004. Pasabahce started output in Russia in 2004. The company is aiming at exports of USD 250 million (EUR 187.55 million) and turnover of more than USD 400 million (EUR 300.1 million) in 2004. It aims to grow turnover and capacity by 10% in 2005. The company produces about 126,000 tonnes of glassware a year. Pasabahce has been operating in the sector since 1935. It produces a number of products, including ashtrays, vases, cookware, drinking glasses, kitchenware, tableware and gifts. Sisecam, controlled by Turkey“s Is Bank, produces flat glass, auto glass, glassware, glass packaging, fiberglass, chrome, castings, moulds and fodder additives. It supplies 90% of the glass components for Turkey“s automotive industry.
