Turkish Pasabahce is increasing the production capacity of its Nizhniy Novgorod enterprises. From now until 2016, the company will invest USD 125 million to build the third and fourth stages of the plant for the production of tableware in the town of Bor, which means that 2016 output will increase by 2.4 times, reaching up to 123,000 glassware items per year.
However, according to analysts, even with output at full capacity, this project will have to withstand strong competition in the Russian and Eastern European markets.
The agreement of intent to construct the third and fourth stage of the plant for the production of cookware has been signed by the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Valery Shantsev.
The project involves commissioning of two new furnaces with capacity of 200 tons of sodium silicate per day each. Construction of the third stage of the project is scheduled to start in mid-2012 and be completed in July 2013. The fourth stage of construction will be carried out between 2014 and 2016.
