Global transportation and logistics company SEKO announced that it has been named among the recipients of the Owens Corning 2005 Transportation Systems Excellence Award. For 2005, Owens Corning has awarded this designation to 44 carrier service partners from among a highly coordinated network of nearly 350 transportation service providers. “At Owens Corning, we“re all about service, and our carrier service partners make the on-time deliveries that keep us number one with our customers,” said John A. Gentle, Owens Corning Global Leader Transportation Affairs and Processes. “SEKO was recognized for the ability of its team and leaders to effectively anticipate and adjust its processes to meet the needs of our company while overcoming daily challenges to service providers in a dynamic transportation industry”. SEKO was chosen to receive the award as a result of consistently high levels of quality in the provision of air and ocean export forwarding, import management and customs brokerage services. SEKO works within the Owens Corning SAP System. The company“s responsibilities range from release of the orders at the origin plant, scheduling of carriers and documenting both air and ocean shipments, while ensuring all parties are apprised of crucial data for each order. “We“re proud to be selected as one of the recipients of the Owens Corning 2005 Transportation Systems Excellence Awards,” said William Wascher, CEO of SEKO.
