Owens Corning has introduced Innovision fiberglass windows, which feature the first fully bonded frame and sash in the industry manufactured without mechanical fasteners. Innovision windows, developed to withstand even extreme environments, have a high impact structural mull adhesive that is injected into the frame and sash corners of Innovision windows. This adhesive creates a permanent, air- and water-tight joint for long-term stability and reliable performance. The result is a window that: o is designed for use in residential or commercial applications; o has strong and secure corner joinery for unparalleled structural integrity; o delivers design pressure ratings of up to 142.5; o is well suited for extreme environmental conditions. “Fiberglass represents growth in the window industry and with Innovision windows, Owens Corning is combining the power of the leader in fiberglass building science with unparalleled performance,” said Todd Hall, business manager, Owens Corning Construction Services. “Innovision windows offer the energy efficiency, durability and aesthetics homeowners demand and commercial contractors require for energy efficient building renovation. Innovision windows have a high performance low-E, argon filled, double-pane insulated glass system with three optional glass packages designed for early morning sun, all-day sun or intense heat exposure. The windows also include multiple low-E coatings, inert gas and Southwall Technologies solar-reflective Heat Mirror film.
