Owens-Illinois Inc (O-I) has named Giulio Ruggeri to the post of marketing director for Italy and Spain, it was reported on 5 December 2005. Ruggeri will be responsible for managing Owens-Illinois“ Italian subsidiary O-I Avir S.p.A. He will also lead the development of Owens-Illinois“ glass packaging business for the food and beverage sector in Italy and Spain. Ruggeri is a former commercial and marketing director for Spain of Italy“s Guala Closures S.p.A., which makes closures for wine bottles and other beverages.
