Czech glassmaker Moser, together with the porcelain producer Starorolsky Porcelain – Moritz Zdekauer (SP), are planning to expand to the Cuban market. SP and Moser intend to set up a joint showroom in Cuba, SP“s CEO Anton Salva said recently. The two firms plan to aim their products at foreign investors building hotel networks in Cuba, says Moser CEO Antonin Vlk. Moser exports over half of its total output, with the bulk of its products going to the US, Caribbean states, Japan, the Middle East and Western Europe. Moser is 94.5% owned by Iris. The firm has share capital of CZK 70 million and employs 400 people. Starorolsky porcelan sells its products mainly on the European market. The firm exports over 40% its output. SP employs 600 people and has share capital of CZK 229 million. The Moritz Zdekauer firm holds 50% of the company, while Ceska pojistovna, the largest Czech insurer, owns a 10% stake.
