24 June 1999: The Polish Ministry of the Treasury sold its remaining 10% stock in Magneti Marelli Poland SA, a car parts supplier in Sosnowiec, Poland, to Magneti Marelli Spa of Milan, Italy for over Zl 6.6 million on 10 June. The Sosnowiec company produces dashboard elements, lamps, rear-view mirrors and other parts for Fiat Auto Poland and GM. The company, which employs 1,300 people at four locations in the region of Silesia, had sales last year totalling Zl 331 million with exports accounting for 40% of sales.
