The Lysychanska Soda open joint-stock company (Lysychansk, Luhansk region), the second largest producer of soda in the Ukraine, ended 2007 with losses of UAH 42.895 million. In 2007, the company“s net revenue fell by 6.27% or UAH 12.1 million to UAH 180.924 million, compared to 2006. Lysychanska Soda reported a net profit of UAH 76,900 for 2006, when its net revenues increased by UAH 23.44 million or 13.82% to UAH 193.022 million compared to 2005. Lysychanska Soda was acquired by the Russian Soda Company in August 2007. The Russian Soda Company owns 84% of the Bereznikovsky soda plant (Perm region of Russia). Lysychanska Soda is capable of producing up to 1,500 tons of soda a day.
