Libbey Glass Co., Ltd. began the construction of its plant in the Langfang Development Zone in north China“s Hebei Province in September 2005. The Libbey Glass (China) Co., Ltd., inaugurated in December 2004, will involve a total investment of USD 50 million. On completion, the new enterprise is expected to produce 96 million items a year. Founded in 1818, Libbey makes mainly household glass products and glass tableware. The company exports products to more than 75 countries and provides technical supports for other glass tableware producers throughout the world.
