LandVac successfully hosted its first VITA Designer Exchange Event at the Building Centre in London, bringing together more than 100 architects, designers, industry association representatives, research experts and partners from across the UK.
The event focused on key topics including carbon neutrality pathways in the UK and Europe, energy-efficient renovation solutions for historic buildings, and improving building performance through advanced glazing technologies.
The name VITA, derived from the Latin word meaning “life,” also represents “Vacuum Innovations Transform All,” reflecting LandVac’s vision of using vacuum technology to support more sustainable buildings and comfortable living environments.
During the event, participants discussed the challenges of balancing heritage preservation with energy efficiency improvements. As a country with a rich architectural heritage and a strong focus on carbon reduction, the UK faces increasing demand for solutions that can improve building performance while maintaining original architectural characteristics.
Zhao Yan, Chairman of LandVac, highlighted that innovation in low-carbon building technologies plays an important role in addressing these challenges. He stated that LandVac continues to focus on the development of high-performance vacuum glazing solutions, supported by its low-carbon R&D and manufacturing system and China-EU dual EPD-certified product portfolio.
At the event, LandVac presented its Titanium Vacuum Glass (Vacuum Insulated Glass, VIG) solutions. With its thin structure and high thermal insulation performance, LandVac Vacuum Glass can improve the energy efficiency of buildings while helping preserve existing architectural appearances.
This makes vacuum glazing particularly suitable for heritage renovation projects, where maintaining the original design and character of buildings remains an important consideration.
Through collaboration with partners worldwide, LandVac has successfully applied its products in more than 1,200 landmark projects, demonstrating its application potential across different architectural scenarios.
The successful London event marks the launch of the VITA Designer Exchange platform, creating a new opportunity for dialogue between LandVac and the international design community.
Looking ahead, LandVac will continue to explore applications of Titanium Vacuum Glass in architecture, home appliances, transportation, photovoltaic and other fields, working with global partners to support sustainable development and energy-efficient building solutions.
