Laboratory Lights, a collection of lamps from Kavalierglass, is on its way to EXPO in Milan.
From 1 July 2015 until 30 Aug. 2015, visitors to the Czech pavilion can look forward to a presentation of the best from the Laboratory Lights collection made by the glassworks Kavalierglass, a.s.
This year, Kavalierglass was awarded as Czech Grand Design Manufacturer of the Year. One benefit of winning the award was financial support for participation at EXPO.
“Specifically, we will be exhibiting the Funnel Light and Sulfonation Lamp designs that so far have been in the greatest demand from our customers,” explained Olga Gronychová, the firm’s Marketing Manager.
The Laboratory Lights consists of a total of 10 lamps, with 4 table lamps and 6 hanging lamps, some of which have additional decoration (metal plating or sandblasting). All are made from semi-finished laboratory glass products that are among the main product groups made by Kavalierglass.
The Kavalier Design collection has become quite well known. “We used to mostly handle requests of customers from the Czech Republic and neighboring countries. But now, because we used Laboratory Lights lamps to illuminate our stand at the Achema trade fair in Frankfurt, we are expecting increased interest from customers all around the world,” says Ing. Jitka Jiránková, the director of sales for the firm Kavalierglass, adding that “although we presented the SIMAX Laboratory Assortment at the trade fair, several of our customers have expressed great interest in our lamps.”
Besides its presentation at EXPO, the company Kavalierglass will also be presenting the whole Kavalier Design collection at the next Designblok, which is to take place this October. New items in the Kavalier Design collection will also be on display there.
According to Olga Gronychová: “We are continuing to cooperate with the designers Michaela Tomišková and Jakub Janďourek, and that cooperation is proving to be truly beneficial. We are currently deciding whether to add new products to the Laboratory Lights lamp collection or to enhance the Kavalier Design concept with something completely new.”
At Czech Grand Design 2014, Studio DECHEM was awarded as the Grand Designer of the Year.
Two truly strong partners have now joined forces – a manufacturing plant unmatched worldwide in size and the diversity of products, and young, successful designers who help company Kavalierglass from Sázava show present and potential customers that it is still developing and coming up with innovative technologies and products, so it can offer customers something extra besides the traditional assortment. One can only look forward to what this cooperation will bring in the future.
