Izolas, one of the largest Czech producers of construction glass, opened a new 16,000 square metre production facility worth Kcs 170 million in Brno, said CEO Radomil Vales. Izolas has been operating on the market since 1992 and its revenues have grown fivefold over that time. Last year, overall revenues stood at Kcs 157.8 million, and the company employed 65 people. Izolas has been a part of the Saint-Gobain international group since 1997. Saint-Gobain employs 2,300 people in the Czech Republic and its revenues last year grew 14% year-on-year to Kcs 6 billion. It is a leader in the Czech market of insulation materials and glass fibres. Its largest facilities here are Sekurit Saint-Gobain Horovice and Vertex Litomysl. Last year alone, Saint-Gobain invested Kcs 1.1 billion in the Czech Republic.
