14 January 1999: The Italian Trade Commission (ICE) announced that its Atlanta gifts and home furnishings division will present 40 Italian gift and home furnishings manufacturers at the New York International Gift Fair, which will be held on 31 January-4 February 1999 (booths 3662-3787) at New York“s Jacob Javits Convention Center. The companies will be showcasing a variety of products including glass, silver, linens, ceramics, leather and more. ICE“s pavilion at the fair represents the largest international group at the show. In addition to the temporary booths at the Javits Center, ICE operates a permanent showroom dedicated to Italian artisans and handicrafts, known as the Italian Pavilion which is located in New York City at 225 Fifth Avenue (showroom 911). Currently, wares from 43 companies are displayed there. The Italian Pavilion is open to the trade everyday, all year round. During the gift show, a shuttle service will be provided to and from the Javits Center and the 225 Fifth Avenue gift building.
