The 2013 Fortune’s List of World’s Most Admired Companies includes well-known companies of the chemicals sector. Nine key attributes are taken into consideration in selecting the companies.
Fortune Brands Home & Security Inc., Lowe’s, Dow and PPG are a few of the industry companies named to Fortune magazine’s 2013 List of World’s Most Admired Companies.
Fortune Brands was in third place once again in the “Home Equipment, Furnishings” category.

Rankings in the chemicals category included:
1. BASF;
2. DuPont;
3. Bayer;
4. Dow;
5. L’Air Liquide;
6. PPG Industries; and
7. Linde Group.
Corporate reputation and performance are measured against nine key attributes: innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment, quality of products and services and global competitiveness, in compiling the rankings.
