The Independent Glass Association“s Glass Professional Of-The-Year award in 2010 has been given to independent Nebraska glass shop owner, Mark Rizzi of Alliance Nebraska. In awarding Rizzi, the association spoke of his long-standing service to the glass industry, setting standards of excellence for consumer safety and replacement quality, as well as his tireless efforts to improve the auto glass industry and his willingness to share his expertise with other glass industry professionals. Rizzi has also distinguished himself by developing and conducting a number of national glass seminars and authoring numerous articles for industry trade publications. Rizzi was also a consultant to ABC“s 20/20 for a national expos on improper auto glass installation, and has also conducted a meticulous, long-term examination of Nebraska glass installation practices. Rizzi has been actively involved in benchmarking national standards for windshield installation including the ANSI-AGRSS standard, and has become a respected industry analyst in matters of both automotive glass and collision industry issues. Rizzi was recognized as an industry “Point of Light“ in 2001, and received IGAs National Special Achievement award in 2002. In 2005, the Nebraska Autobody Association recognized him for his research and accomplishments, which included legislative insights and actions. The Nebraska Autobody Association, which is made up of Nebraska collision repair professionals and allied industries, promotes professionalism in the art of collision repair including standards and ethics that treat the insurer and policyholder in a fair, honest and ethical manner.
