19 November 1998: India“s Hindustan Sanitaryware and Industries Ltd. (Hind Sanitaryware) will undertake the Rs 600 million expansion project of its glass plant in Hyderabad, according to a recent press report. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 1999. The capacity of the plant will be increased to 450 tonnes/day from 200 tonnes/day. Hind Sanitaryware recorded an increase in income from sales of Rs 761.6 million for the first half of 1998-1999. The company anticipates to record a turnover of over Rs 1.5 billion for 1998-1999.
