29 October 1998: The German glass company Heye-Glas KG of Obernkirchen has opened a beer bottle plant in Moerdijk, Netherlands, and has annual capacity of 500 million bottles. The investment volume is Fl 13 million, and the company is expected to employ 120 people. Heye, which is cooperating with Heineken who holds 33.5% of the joint venture, already has plants in Belgium, Poland and Portugal.
