6 May 1999: South Korea“s Hanwha, the trading arm of Hanwha Group, will export glass fibre, HDPE and other chemicals worth US$ 100 million to Argentina“s Victoria Americo by 2002, a company spokesman announced recently. The Argentine firm will use the glass fibre for the production of a waterwaypipe, which will be installed in the country“s mammoth waterway construction project. Earlier, the Korean company won a US$ 30 million export contract for the shipment of raw materials that will be used for the first-phase waterway project. Hanwha is expected to win another waterway contract.
