Kuwaiti glass products maker Gulf Glass Manufacturing Company has reached an agreement to supply glass bottles during 2005 to Aujan Industries, a Saudi beverage and confectionery manufacturer and distributor, the Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) said on 23 March 2005. The value of the contract is KWD 375,960 (USD 1.3 million/EUR 984,700), the bourse added. The net profit of Gulf Glass Manufacturing, traded on the KSE, rose to KWD 1.0 million (USD 3.4 million/EUR 2.6 million) in 2004 from KWD 736,360 (USD 2.5 million/EUR 1.9 million) in 2003. In early 2004, Gulf Glass Manufacturing announced it would supply glass bottles to Aujan in 2004 under a KWD 712,000 (USD 2.4 million/EUR 1.9 million) contract. Aujan produces Canada Dry, POM, Three Diamonds and Lipton Ice Tea under licence, as well as several products under its own brands.
