GPD Finland 2019: ‘Super-Early Bird Registration’ is now open

GPD 2019 will address the challenges the industry faces today

The Glass Performance Days (GPD) event in 2019 will celebrate its 27th year of service to the glass industry.

In 2019, the technical sessions of the conference and workshops of the Glass Performance Days (GPD) will be addressing the challenges the industry faces today regarding the ever-changing demands on City planning, building design, energy-efficiency and environmental fit. A special focus will be on the contribution of new glass technologies to these demands. The modular program of the event will consist of the following:
* 25-26 June, Workshops
* 26-28 June, Conference Part (six parallel technical sessions each day) and Exhibition Part, including Glass Expo section for the glass product exhibition and Step Change section for start-up companies.
Step Change 2019 – A Roadmap for Industry, Innovation and Ecosystem – is the first glass industry start-up event in the world, whose goal is to bridge the gap between the glass industry with a space to engage innovators, start-ups and new technologies. The Step Change ecosystem is unlike anything seen in the glass industry to date.
At the 2017 GPD event, over 30 glass industry start-ups came together to showcase and pitch, which provided the start-ups and industry an insight into how they can work together.
Pre-registration as a participant for the event involves buying a super-early bird ticket right now or latest by 28 February 2018 for Euro 550, about half the price the tickets will be when the conference program is published. If the conference is rescheduled or cancelled, the price of the tickets will be reimbursed.
Speakers can also pre-register with the super-early bird ticket by registering by 28 February 2018. The super early fee of Euro 550 will be about half the price of the speaking fee that will be published with the GPD 2019 call for papers announcement.
Motivated by the necessity to transfer appropriate and well-structured information among members of the glass industry, GPD advocated for the formation of special workshops during its main event.

They are also allowed to look into any topic of their choice as long as it falls into the category of the conference’s main theme and focuses on the techniques and skill related to their topic. Workshop organizers have the right to hand pick their preferred attendees from the list of all those registered for their workshop.
Those interested in conducting a workshop should follow the instructions given on the GPD Guidelines for Workshops page and fill out the form, which will be available soon.
Proposals will then be reviewed and notification will be sent our regarding acceptance or denial. Please note that GPD does not charge any fees for organizing workshops.
GPD Exhibition is specially structured to cater for the commercial needs of guests. The strategically set-up exhibition aims at increasing business prospects with exhibitors from all over the world. The exhibition will be located in close connection to the conference session areas.
In addition, all coffees and lunches will be served in the expo area. This combination of activities will provide exhibitors the best platform to showcase or launch products, services and know-how to the attending glass fraternity. The Expo is opened only to conference participants. Exhibitors will be able to:
* Network and foster partnerships with like-minded professionals
* Promote companies and products directly to a targeted audience of high level decision makers.
* Enhance organization profiles
