Glaston and Bystronic glass at Vitrum 2019

Showcasing solutions for better uptime, product quality and customer service

Digitalisation is now more than just a passing trend. Glass processors who have connected to the power behind the data are showing concrete results. These are the pathfinders who want to get more information – easily and automatically – from their equipment and machinery. They’ve discovered this data holds the key to unlocking more effective ways to reach higher uptime, produce better product quality – and even serve customers better than ever before.

At VITRUM 2019, Glaston and Bystronic glass is showing visitors more about the possibilities of these latest technologies. What easy steps can clients take to tap into data from their equipment? Why does this translate into more uptime? How is it possible to produce better quality products? This data also enables them to stay on top of excellent customer service.

Putting digitalisation into practice
The new version of Glaston FC Series incorporates high levels of automation and intelligent process control. Insight Assistant Pro gives the intelligent online process assistance, while Insight Reporting Pro allows to track all trends online and improve overall performance for long-term strategic planning. Another new feature is active edge control technology, enabled by intelligent cooling profiling that automatically adapts to your glass size, eliminating issues with edge lift.

Glaston Jumbo Series offers the best heating control available for high-quality results. It also gives the extra capability to process Low-E glass in mixed sizes. The main highlight of the machine is its Fusion option, providing the capacity of a double-chamber furnace to match growing architectural glass demands.

Glaston ProL lamination line now comes equipped with the latest PVB cutting technology and a convection heating chamber offering glass processors extremely high flexibility. It is suitable for all types of glass, even printed and Low-E, and can also laminate all glass sizes. Glaston Insight Reporting is now available for ProL to monitor furnace production data, energy consumption and maintenance needs online.

Satisfying the toughest warm edge demands
The advanced architectural glass TPS® (Thermo Plastic Spacer) technology of Bystronic glass provides processors with end products to satisfy the toughest warm edge demands. Insulating glass units made with TPS® improve energy efficiency in buildings, increase durability and reduce energy costs.

The entire production mix can be manufactured on one line on the various Bystronic glass TPS® insulating glass production lines. The insulating glass manufacturer can choose from the following system solutions for this purpose:

B’VARIO TPS® – the individually configurable IG manufacturing line
B’SPEED TPS® – the fast system solution with shortest cycle times
B’JUMBO TPS® – the IG line for glass sizes up to 9 m in length

Digital solutions for real life
With extensive investments and R&D, Glaston is heading towards automated processes and real-time customer support. At VITRUM 2019, the company is showing how they’re using artificial intelligence and augmented reality in glass processing and services.
